EMDR Intensives offer concentrated therapy over one or more days, rather than weekly 50-minute sessions spread over several months. They are designed to help you make meaningful progress and can be a focused way to work on trauma or other emotional difficulties over a shorter period of time.
I offer EMDR Intensives in person in Mill Hill, north London or online.

Want to focus deeply on specific goals without distractions from everyday life.
Are finding that trauma, anxiety, grief or distress is affecting your daily life.

Are already in therapy but would benefit from focused trauma treatment alongside your current work.

Every EMDR Intensive is tailored to your individual needs and typically includes:
Initial Assessment
A comprehensive assessment to understand your difficulties, clarify your goals, and develop a treatment plan.Preparation
Before we begin trauma processing, we'll ensure you feel ready for the work ahead. Alongside grounding and emotional regulation strategies, we may integrate IFS to identify and understand any parts that are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or uncertain about the process. This helps create a stronger foundation for EMDR.Intensive EMDR Sessions
Extended EMDR therapy sessions delivered over one or more days, with regular breaks, reflection and stabilisation throughout. IFS may be integrated to help you work compassionately with different parts of yourself, allowing trauma to be processed at a pace that feels safe while supporting lasting change.Follow-up Session
A review appointment after your intensive to support integration, reflect on your progress, and discuss any ongoing support that may be helpful. -
Many people find that working intensively allows them to stay focused on the therapeutic process without the interruptions that naturally occur between weekly sessions. This can reduce the emotional strain of repeatedly returning to difficult memories and may help you experience meaningful change more quickly.

EMDR Intensives are not suitable for everyone. Before booking, we'll complete a thorough assessment to ensure this approach is appropriate for your needs and that you feel ready for this focused way of working.
If you'd like to find out whether an EMDR Intensive could help you, I'd be happy to discuss whether this approach is right for you.

EMDR intensives can be powerful, but the experience is unique to each client. Sometimes progress occurs rapidly and sometimes it develops more gradually. As we work together we may uncover unexpected themes that require attention and we may need to have collaborative conversations about how to focus out time effectively and whether to pivot from our original intentions. Specific outcomes are hard to predict and cannot be guaranteed.

Intensives can vary enormously in their structure, from a 2-hour session to 15-20 hours over the course of a week or multiple weeks. My preferred structure is 3-4 hours in one day which can then be repeated as needed.
Intensives are charged at £165 per hour.
