EMDR for children and adolescents
EMDR can be used with children and adolescents experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, OCD and difficulties with confidence or relationships. I have a background of working in NHS CAMHS services.
Therapy is tailored to each young person and their stage of development. I use EMDR alongside talking and creative approaches to help young people understand their experiences, develop coping strategies and process things that may be troubling them.
I aim to create a safe, supportive space where children and adolescents feel listened to, understood and able to work at their own pace. I aim to work collaboratively with parents and carers to support progress outside of sessions.
